Following complaints from the public, The Adamawa State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has given approval for the continued use of electric bicycles across the state.

This decision was reached after a meeting between the Adamawa State Police Command and the State Chapter of the Electric Bicycle Users Association, accompanied by the Governor’s SSA on Security Matters, Hon. Ahmad Lawan.

However, the police command reaffirmed that the ban on petrol-powered motorcycles, tricycles, and other fuel-based bikes with two wheels remains in force in some parts of Yola North Yola South and Girei, due to safety and security concerns.

The Electric Bicycle Users Association expressed satisfaction with the government’s swift response, and pledged to continue complying with all laws and regulations guiding the use of their bikes. They also extended heartfelt appreciation to Governor Fintiri and the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankwambo Morris, for their patriotic and humane stance on the matter.

Fintiri listens. Fintiri acts. Fintiri leads.
