PDP Secured Landslide Victory in Adamawa Local Council Polls

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) on Sunday, declared the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winners of the council polls in the state.

18 political parties participated in the local government election conducted on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the state.

Declaring the result on Sunday, the ADSIEC chairman, Mohammed Umar said the PDP has won all the 21 chairmanship seats and 225 councillorship seats in the state.

According the chairman, the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) won one councillorship seat in Demsa local government area.

He announced that the commission will present certificates of return to the winners of the election on Monday in the morning.
