PAWECA Commences Registration Of 10,000 Beneficiaries To Enjoy Fintiri’s Empowerment Programme

The Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency, PAWECA, Wednesday began data capture registration of 10,000 women for the Fintiri Business Wallet program.

The exercise which is expected to last for 3 days, is being conducted simultaneously across the 21 local government secretariats of Adamawa State.

The program, championed by the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri administration is designed to assist small-scale business holders, especially women with a grant of N50,000 each.

Speaking at the launch of the programme in Yola North local government Secretariat, the Director General of PAWECA, Dr Michael Zika said the initiative is aimed at empowering women in the state.

He explains that after every three months, another batch of beneficiaries will be selected for the program, acknowledging that the initiative will indeed boost small businesses.

Dr Zira commended Governor Fintiri for his foresight towards youth and women empowerment and expressed the conviction that the business wallet will surely change the fortune of the state for the better.

“Governor Fintiri has a keen interest in youth and women empowerment. He has acknowledged your long-time support to him. This program is part of his magnanimity towards you so that you can improve your business.

“I want to assure you that this program will continue after every three months. I appeal to those who were not captured now, to exercise patience because your turn will come in subsequent batches,” Dr. Zira added.

The Executive Chairman of Yola North local government area, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim described the programme as timely and called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the trade grants that will be given to them.

Maimuna Bukar, one of the beneficiaries from Yola North LGA noted with appreciation for this program and prayed to God to guide and bless Governor Umaru Fintiri.
