HRH Kwandi Nunguraya, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II (the second) has expressed his readiness to support and collaborate with the Adamawa State Agribusiness Support Programme (ADAS-P) in realizing the vision of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to boost Agribusiness in the state.
Kwandi who stated this while receiving a powerful and visionary delegation from ADAS-P at his Palace in Guyuk, commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his foresight in introducing the programme in the state.
The Royal Father who who believes that the programme will help to overcome the food insecurity bedeviling the country, urge ADAS-P to act in time to enable farmers properly enjoy the support.
Earlier in his remarks, the team leader of the delegation, Dr. Ahmed Garba who appreciates the Royal Father for the warm welcome, explained that they are at the Palace to seek royal blessings to enable them succeed in the programme.
Dr. Garba says they need the support of traditional rulers from the highest rank down to the lowest level to identify the genuine farmers that will be supported to avoid the past mistake of supporting fake farmers.
Also during the presentation, Dr. Garba stated that plans have been completed to capture farmers and farmlands to create a digital and standard agricultural Data Base for the state.
He challenged all stakeholders to apply justice and fairness while discharging their duties.
In his remarks, the Director Chieftaincy Affairs Adamawa State Mal. Ibrahim Yaro appealed for the District Scribes, District Heads, Village Heads and Ward Heads to give their maximum support and cooperation to ADAS-P for the betterment of all.
He challenged the participants to forward the message to farmers under them to enable them enjoy the programme.
During the visit, ADAS team meets Directors of Agric and Livestock, District Scribes, District Heads, Ward Heads of the chiefdom among others stakeholders to sensitize them on the programme.
Speaking during the question and answer session, the District Head of Pwalamoli, Mr. Yo’ila Hannabi, said if the programme is well implemented as planned, it will be beneficial to all and will help overcome the agricultural activities.
On her part, the admin Secretary of the implementation committee Mrs Joy Tarfa appealed for stakeholders to ensure all the farmers under their domain is properly captured to enable benefit from the programme.
