Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has announced that the Adamawa State Government will revoke ownership of any landed property that has remained undeveloped since the days of the defunct Gongola State. This revocation is expected to take effect in a month’s time. The Governor made this declaration during the inauguration of Satus Hotel in Karewa, Yola North Local Government Area.

While inaugurating the hotel, Governor Fintiri emphasized that his administration has made significant strides in improving the state’s security infrastructure. These improvements, he noted, have driven socio-economic growth, creating an enabling environment for the hospitality industry to flourish.

The Governor praised the founder of Satus Hotel, the late Jibrin Abdulaziz Satumari, for his unwavering commitment to societal growth and his dedication to inspiring younger generations to strive for success.

“Adamawa State is now the epicenter of development and a key destination for investors in the Northeastern region,” Fintiri stated.

He further issued a strong call to property owners in Yola who have failed to develop their lands, warning that their ownership will be revoked, and they will be compensated with lands in more distant areas. This, he explained, would allow those willing to develop the state to contribute to its progress.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of Satus Hotel, Abdulrahman Satumari, commended Governor Fintiri for spearheading human and infrastructural development in Adamawa, positioning the state as a leader among developed states in Nigeria. Satumari also announced that the hotel would offer a 20% discount on services provided to the state government.

Governor Fintiri and his entourage toured the hotel and expressed their satisfaction with the state-of-the-art facilities on offer.
