
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State on Monday evening hosted members of the State House of Assembly for a Ramadan Iftar at the Government House, Yola, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The gathering led by the speaker Rt.Hon Bathiya Wesley brought together lawmakers from various constituencies, providing an opportunity for reflection, unity, and discussions on governance in the spirit of Ramadan.
Speaking at the event, Governor Fintiri acknowledged the critical role of the legislature in ensuring good governance and development in the state. He urged the lawmakers to remain committed to policies and initiatives that will improve the lives of the people of Adamawa.
“Ramadan is a time for sacrifice, unity, and service to humanity. As leaders, we must use this period to renew our commitment to working together for the progress of our state and the well-being of our people,” the governor said.
He called for stronger synergy between the executive and the legislature, stressing that collaboration is essential for delivering impactful projects and policies that will benefit citizens.
The event featured prayers led by Islamic scholars, who urged leaders to uphold justice and fairness in governance while praying for peace and prosperity in Adamawa State and Nigeria.
