Gov Fintiri Receives Lunguda Delegation, Pledges Govt’s Commitment To Dredge Kiri Dam

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has pledged governments commitment to collaborate with the federal ministry of water resources for possible dredging of kiri dam for the people of the state to benefit more from the dam

The Governor while addressing members of Lunguda Development Association who were on a courtesy call at the Government House, Yola said the dredging of the river will derive economic benefits to the state.

He made bold to state that Adamawa has turned from the verge of underdevelopment and is on the path of prosperity with peace and security guaranteed.

While describing the lunguda race as the people he loves and respects wholeheartedly, the Governor thanked them for always standing by him since when he first nursed the ambition to become the Governor of the state till date.

He specifically expressed his gratitude to the paramount ruler of the lunguda race for his support,fatherly advice and prayers towards the success of his government.

Guyuk people according to him deserves more than they can imagine disclosing governments determination to deploy more developmental projects to the area for the common good of all

He called on his appointees to carry everyone along and be one another’s keepers as he pledges to continue to work with the people of Guyuk and everyone who cares for the success of the administration restating that Adamawa state is now working and that even its enemies can attest to that promising not to betray the trust.

The Governor charged them to vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming local council elections stressing that with him the local government must work in the interest of the masses

He gladly noted that this is the first time in the five years of his administration that there is no crisis in Guyuk at the start of the rainy season, this he said is due to the peace building processes, the support and cooperation of the people

Earlier leader of the delegation, Ibrahim Welye said they have come to congratulate him on his second term as Governor, glad that the people saw the need to re-elect him owing to his tremendous achievements.

He commended the Governor for the infrastructural development executed to citizens and tourists delight which he noted was also transmitted to the local government areas

Ibrahim Welye gave kudos to the Governor for finding some of their sons and daughters worthy of being appointed to serve government and also for his untiring support to the paramount ruler of lunguda

He however like Oliver Twist solicited that government should upgrade guyuk cottage hospital to a general hospital,facilitate the dredging of kiri dam,convert some of its schools to boarding status so as to maximize government’s educational reforms

Member representing Guyuk and Shelleng in the green chamber, Kobis Ari Thimnu commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for exhibiting excellent leadership skills that has brought numerous achievements to the state.
