It was a historic day at Shelleng Eid ground as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, in company of Amna Shelleng HRH Alhaji Abdullahi Isa Dasong and top Government officials observed two rakaat prayers marking 2024 Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebration in Shelleng LGA.
It was an epoch outing for the Governor to the area for the celebration and a heartwarming moment for the people of Shelleng having received the Governor for the first time in such an important occasion.
Shelleng Eid ground was agog as the faithful gathered in numbers to observed the two rakaat prayers with the Governor, their paramount ruler and top Government officials in an unforgettable moment.
In an interview shortly after the two rakaat prayers the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, called on the people to follow the teaching of the prophet Muhammad SAW and pray for peace and security.
He said that even though the country is going through tough times he however, expressed optimism that with prayers their is light at the end of the tunnel, calling on the masses to keep hopes alive.
He also called on them in such a time as this, to come together and join hands with leaders and as well coexist peacefully with one another, praying that Nigeria shall rise and be great again.
Malam Lalwanu Dankaka who led the two rakaat prayers admonished the faithful to be generous to the needy and made sacrifices with animals that meet up requirements stipulated by the Quran.
