Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has mourned the demise of Alhaji Sabo Garta, who passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the age of 70.

The late Alhaji Garta died after a brief illness at Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) and is survived by two wives and 14 children.

Leading top government officials and friends to the funeral prayers at Agga Mosque, Governor Fintiri also took time to visit and sympathize with the family of the deceased along The Scope Road.

According to the governor, Alhaji Sabo Garta was deeply loved by his family, friends, and neighbors and will be greatly missed—not only by those close to him but by the entire state.

Fintiri acknowledged Alhaji Garta’s contributions to the economic development of Adamawa State and urged his family to take solace in God, accepting his passing with faith.
