More projects are expected to be built at the Nigerian Law School, Yola campus, as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has directed the state Attorney General to prepare for their deployment.
During a meeting with the Director General of the Nigerian Law School in his office on Friday, Governor Fintiri stated that apart from the ongoing construction of hostel blocks at the school, his administration remains committed to further developments.
He emphasized the importance of the Yola campus, assuring that his administration will continue working to expand the school’s admission capacity to accommodate more than one thousand students.
The Governor informed the D.G. that the state government is also working on connecting the school to a sustainable water supply to address water challenges.
He further assured that he would engage his counterparts in the Northeast for additional support.
In his remarks, the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isah Hayatu Chiroma, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the ongoing construction of hostel blocks at the Yola campus by the state government.
He noted that Yola and Bayelsa are currently the campuses with the least student intake.
However, with the ongoing construction of hostels, the Yola campus will now accommodate more students, thereby boosting business and other activities in the area.
