The attention of Ibrahim Gafai, lead consultant has been drawn to a malicious and defamatory publication falsely alleging mismanagement and financial impropriety within the Adamawa Agribusiness Support Program (ADAS-P).
This baseless report published by some online news platform sponsored by someone name withheld on Sunday, February 17, 2024, riddled with unverified claims, is not only misleading but also a deliberate attempt to tarnish the reputation of a reputable initiative and its leadership.
According to a statement by Gafai, contrary to the allegations, ADAS-P remains committed to transparency, accountability, and sustainable economic growth.
He described the claims of mass staff resignation due to unpaid entitlements and poor working conditions are entirely false, and there is no evidence to support the suggestion that the program is in financial distress.
Gafai observed that such reckless reporting is not only damaging but also legally actionable.
In light of this defamatory publication, Gafai has instructed his legal team to commence legal proceedings immediately.
He has given the writer of the said report 24 hours to retract the false allegations and issue a public apology, saying failure to do so will result in full legal action, including seeking damages for defamation.
Gafai said while ADAS-P remains focused on its mission to attract investors and drive economic development, it will not hesitate to take legal measures against any individual or entity engaged in the spread of false and injurious information.
