FCCPC Takes Action Against Price Fixing, Seals Sahad Stores in Abuja

The Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Commission (FCCPC) made a bold move by sealing off the prominent Sahad Stores Limited situated in Area 11, Garki, Abuja.

This action was taken due to the company’s alleged involvement in activities such as price fixing, stuck piling, extortion, lack of transparency, and the use of misleading prices, among other infractions.

The operation, which took place on a Friday, was spearheaded by the FCCPC’s Acting Executive Vice Chairman, Adamu Ahmed Abdullahi.

This move reflects the commission’s commitment to upholding fair competition and protecting the rights of consumers in the marketplace.

The FCCPC’s decision to seal off Sahad Stores Limited sends a clear message that the commission takes a firm stance against any form of anti-competitive behavior and consumer exploitation. By taking this action, the FCCPC aims to ensure that businesses operate in a manner that promotes transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct, thereby safeguarding the interests of consumers.
