The Hon. Commissioner of Ministry of the Agriculture Prof. David Finchiwa Jatau, challenged ADAS-P to wake up to their expectations to ensure the aims and objectives of the programme are achieved in good time

The Commissioner who described the meeting as timely, urged ADAS-P leadership to show a clear picture of the programme to the beneficiaries especially the Credit Guarantee Scheme to avoid misunderstanding and misinterpretation.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Operating Officer of ADAS-P Mallam Yunusa Ibrahim Gafai says the Min. of Agriculture will play a facilitating role, especially in Identifying, organising and managing the crop producers and retailers among others.

Gafai stressed the need to have and study the status report before the second tranche of ADAS-P kick start to enable them to have accurate and first-hand information about their partners.

On his part, the chairman implementation Committee of the programme Dr. Garba Ahmed, says the lining ministries have a strategic importance in implementing the programme, hence the need to partner with them.

Dr. Garba explained that so far seven-grain markets have been upgraded across the state including that of Ganye, Tingno, Chigari, Gurin, Toungo and two Markets in Mubi.
