The much-anticipated Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants into the Adamawa State Civil Service has officially commenced across various designated centres in the state.

The exercise, which marks a major phase in the ongoing recruitment process, attracted thousands of shortlisted candidates from different parts of the state, all vying for employment into the civil service.

Speaking on the commencement of the exams, the Permanent Secretary of the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission, Abubakar Umar Maiha, described the process as smooth, transparent, and in line with global best practices. He noted that the CBT system is aimed at ensuring a merit-based selection process, free from manipulation or favoritism.

Maiha commended the candidates for their orderly conduct and encouraged them to give their best during the exercise, emphasizing that only qualified and competent individuals will be considered for final selection.

The Permanent Secretary also thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his commitment to revitalizing the civil service sector and creating employment opportunities for the youth of Adamawa State.

The examination is expected to last for several days, with different batches scheduled to write at approved centres across Yola and other local government areas. Security personnel and examination supervisors were deployed to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

The commission urges applicants to check their emails and phone messages regularly for notifications regarding their specific examination dates and centres.
