Adamawa state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa, has received a letter from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) commending Adamawa for being a tax compliant state.
Farauta who received the letter in her office Thursday, said the commendation would spur government to do more of what is right for its people at all times.
She insisted that government would continue to render the right services for the people.
The deputy governor urged people to pay their taxes for the development of the state
“We feel happy with the commendation letter that the FIRS has brought to us. The commendation means we are doing the right thing and would continue to do what is right for the people of the state,” Farauta said.
Earlier, Sambo Alan Yaska, Acting Director Tax, department of government business tax, FIRS Abuja office, who led other management staff, said the state has been up to date in remittance of taxes as at when due to FIRS.
Yaska who rated the state as one of the best, said when taxes are paid the money contribute to the growth and development of the country.
“We brought letter of commendation from FIRS for the state being tax compliant to FIRS and to the benefit of the nation,” he said.
