
The Adamawa state government under the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s led administration through the office of the Director General, Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) will on Monday 10th March 2025 begin the process of admitting 10,000 youth into the 10 Technical and Training Centers a cross the state.
Doctor Michael Zira, the Director General of PAWECA who disclosed this while briefing members of the press in his office, said all interested candidate can contact PAWECA desk officer at their respected local government area of resistance to express interest and commitment.
To ensure inclusion of all people at the grassroots within the 226 wards a cross the state, PAWECA has sent a notification letter to all the wards Councillors to sensitize and ensure participation of their people.
Zira, restates his commitment to ensure transparent, fair and credible process to reduce youth restiveness within the society.
He made it clear that students will be responsible for their feeding and accommodation to ensure only serious and committed students are enrolled.
“We will give this book to students to guide them on how to succeed in business” Zira assured”
He added that a need assessment and common entrance exam will be conducted to fitch out qualify candidates and they will be given three choices of their interest.
The training will be conducted for the period of three months, six months and more, depending on the nature of course or skill.
Some of the training skills to be given includes welding, solar installation, tiling, POP among others.
