Adamawa Govt.  Approve 17km Bajabure Estate Roads Project, costing over N16b.

The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved more than N16 billion to build  17-kilometer road network in Girei LGA that connects the Bajabure Federal Housing Estate.
The approval was granted by the council on Wednesday at its second meeting of 2024,

Which was chaired by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House Council Chamber. Speaking to reporters soon after the meeting, State Commissioner of Information and Strategy Mrs Neido Geoffrey said that Messrs. Triacta Nigeria Ltd. had been given the contract to build the roads in the Bababure housing development, with a one-year completion period.

The speaker asserted that the council’s resolution fulfilled the current administration’s pledge to urbanize the state capital and its surrounding local government regions.

Commissioner of Works and Energy Development Alh. Adamu Atiku contributed, stating that the contractors would mobilize to the site within a month after following the proper procedures. Geoffrey also revealed that the development of a road network at the One Thousand Housing Estate in Malkohi was allowed by the council for a variation worth over seventy-four million naira.

While providing clarification on the council’s choices, Commissioner of Education Dr. Umar Garba Pella stated that the permissions are intended to lessen the hardship of commuters and residents.

As a means of meeting up with international best practices, the commissioner of works and energy development Adamu Atiku said the council intends to construct a mini flyover and make an intersection at both ends of the super highway from FGGC Yola to AA Lawan junction cause of the high risk
