In a decisive move, Nigerian Army troops engaged in Counter Terrorism Counter Insurgency operations have carried out a successful raid on the hideout of a notorious terrorist kingpin named Yellow Janbros in Dangunu Village, located in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The operation, executed on April 8, 2024, resulted in the elimination of a key terrorist figure and the recovery of significant weaponry.
Yellow Janbros, a figure widely known for orchestrating kidnappings and perpetrating acts of terrorism in various parts of North West Nigeria, was the primary target of the operation. The troops launched a swift and effective assault on the terrorists’ stronghold, overpowering and dispersing the hostile elements present. In the course of the raid, one terrorist was neutralized, and a cache of arms and stolen goods was seized.
Among the items recovered by the gallant troops were an AK-47 Rifle, an AK-47 Magazine, 30 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition, and a substantial quantity of stolen grains amounting to one hundred and fifty bags. The destruction of the terrorists’ enclave marks a significant blow to their operations and reinforces the commitment of the Nigerian Army to combating security threats within the nation.
