The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has announced that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State will be conferred with the Golden Award of Excellence for Education and Teacher Friendliness in recognition of his remarkable contributions to education and the welfare of teachers.

The award will be presented during the 2025 World Teachers Day Celebration scheduled for October 5 at Eagle Square, Abuja.

In a formal invitation signed by the Deputy Secretary General of NUT, Comrade Adamu Ango, the union praised Governor Fintiri’s outstanding policies that have advanced the teaching profession and positioned Adamawa as a model in educational development.

Teachers across Nigeria are expected to converge at the event to celebrate excellence, with Governor Fintiri singled out for his consistent support of the education sector and teachers’ empowerment.
