The former Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Defence and Turakin Batta, Alhaji Aliyu Ismaila Numan OON, has conveyed his condolences to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the people of Adamawa State are following the recent flooding incidents that have severely impacted some areas of Yola South.
In a letter addressed to His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Turakin Batta expressed his sadness and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims of this devastating event.
“It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I extend my heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, the government, and the people of Adamawa State over the tragic flooding that has affected Yola South and Yola North.
The loss of many lives, along with the destruction of countless homes, farmlands, and businesses, is a painful and distressing occurrence. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with all affected families and communities.
May Almighty Allah comfort the bereaved, heal the injured, and provide strength and resilience to those who have lost their livelihoods. We also pray for divine guidance and support for Your Excellency and your administration as you lead the efforts for relief, recovery, and long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences.
This disaster serves as a reminder of our shared vulnerability and the urgent need for unity, preparedness, and sustained investment in environmental and infrastructural resilience.
