Empowering Women, Enhancing Collaboration: Adamawa State Govt Meets with NAWLO Representatives

The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri NGO/CSO Coordination, Mrs Asmau Durnin, held a roundtable meeting with representatives from the Network of Adamawa Women-Led Organization (NAWLO). Mrs. Galaxy Thami, the Chairperson of NAWLO, expressed her gratitude to His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for fostering a conducive environment for women by appointing a female coordinator for NGOs in the state and for appointing women as vice chairs in the 21 local governments.

Mrs. Durnin reaffirmed her commitment to facilitating collaboration and information sharing between the NGO network and the Adamawa State Government, aligning their efforts with the state government’s development action plan.

She emphasized her dedication to advocating for local NGOs, providing capacity-building opportunities for organizations within the network, and contributing to the development of a policy framework that guides the activities of NGOs in the state.
