Adamawa Auditor-General Submits 2023 Audit Report to State Assembly

The Adamawa State House of Assembly has received the report of the State Auditor General on the accounts of Adamawa state government for the year ended 31st December, 2023 as submitted by the State Auditor General Usman Ahmed on 19th Day of July, 2024.

The Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley who presided over the mondays resumed plenary recieved the report after a motion to that effect was moved by the majority leader of the House Hon. Mrs. Kate Raymond Mamuno of Demsa constituency.

According to the content submitted, the audit report was done in compliance with International Standards Audit Supreme Institutions and in line with International Standards on Auditing.

The report added that the Financial Statements were prepared by the Accountant General of the State in compliance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards, cash Basis and in conformity with the standard template for General Purpose Financial Statements.

The report reveals that, the improvements recorded were a result of strict adherence to laid down rules and procedures, and promised that the State treasury office would not rest on its oars.

After considering the importance of the report, speaker of the house Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley referred it to House Committee on Public Accounts to take further action and expected to report back within 2 weeks.
